Privacy Policy
Last updated October 19, 2026. Current Remote Jobs is operated by Octavius LLC.
Short version: you can use this site without an account, and we do not track you across the web. We count visits in a way that uses no cookies and builds no profile of you. We only keep what you choose to send us: a report or feedback. We never sell or share your information for advertising.
This policy covers the Current Remote Jobs website, run by Octavius LLC ("we," "us"). Employer sites and job board services you visit through apply links have their own privacy policies.
1. Browsing the site
No account, no ads, no tracking pixels, and no advertising cookies. We keep simple daily totals: how many people visited, which jobs get Apply clicks, how many job listings in each field were seen on screen, how many tapped the newsletter link, which site sent visitors (for example, our newsletter), which U.S. state visits came from, how many visits came from a phone, tablet or computer, and how many were return visits. The state comes from our host's general location lookup at the moment of the visit. We keep only the state, never your IP address or city. We do not set cookies, follow you across sites, or build a profile of you. Your filter choices stay in your browser's address bar. Fonts are stored on this site, so loading a page does not contact Google or other font services.
We may share these totals with employers, for example on a page that shows how many people visit and apply. Totals never include anything about a single person.
Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to run and protect the site. On our current Netlify plan, Netlify also adds a small "Powered by Netlify" badge to pages. Netlify handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Cookies: before the site opens to the public, one cookie lets invited reviewers see a preview. It holds no personal information. The public site uses no cookies. To count return visits, your browser keeps a small note in its own storage that says only that it has been here before. The note has no ID and nothing about you, and you can remove it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
2. When you report a problem, leave feedback or ask about a Featured job
We receive what you type and pick in the form, the job or page it is about, and, only if you add it, your email address. Netlify stores these submissions and checks them for spam, and a copy is kept in our private Notion workspace so we can track and answer them. We use them to fix listings, improve the site, and reply if you asked us to. We delete them after 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
If you ask about a Featured job on the For Employers page, we receive your company name, work email, the job link and any message you add. Netlify stores it. We use it only to reply to you and to set up the Featured spot.
3. The newsletter
The newsletter is sent through Substack. If you subscribe, you sign up on Substack's own page, and Substack holds your email address under its own privacy policy. This site does not collect or store newsletter sign-ups. To unsubscribe, use the link at the bottom of any issue.
4. How we use information
- to run, protect and fix the site;
- to check and correct job listings you report;
- to answer you, if you gave us your email and asked for a reply;
- to follow the law.
5. Who we share with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We use these service providers to run the site, and they may process your information for us:
- Netlify: hosting, forms and data storage;
- Substack: our email newsletter. If you choose to subscribe, you sign up on Substack's own page, and Substack holds your address under its own privacy policy;
- Notion: our private workspace for managing feedback, reports and job listings.
We may share information if the law requires it, to protect people or the site, or if the site is ever transferred to a new owner, who would have to follow this policy.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show, correct, or delete the information we have about you. Email support@currentremotejobs.com from the address you used and say what you want. We will answer within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking. Depending on where you live, such as California, Colorado, Virginia or other states with privacy laws, you may have more rights, and we will honor them.
We do not track you across sites, so there is nothing to opt out of. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, nothing changes, because we already do not sell or share your data.
7. Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child under 13 sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, like HTTPS on every page, limited access, and keeping only what we need. No system is perfect, so we cannot promise complete security.
9. Where data is kept
Information is stored and processed in the United States.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will also mention it in the newsletter.
